On Wednesday 28th March, we held our own Wacky Race Day!
The Nursery Children had a visit from the Firefighters and a fire engine on Wednesday 21st March.
The firefighters showed the children all the equipment and even let the children have a turn at squirting water using the hose!
Please have a look at the photos and video
“Ten Town numbers sing this song, Ten Town, Ten Town.
Ten Town numbers sing this song
Listen to what they say!”
As part of ‘Nursery Book Week’ parents and carers of our Nursery children were invited to come and read a favourite story to the children. Yesterday we had our first visitors! The children loved having different faces at Nursery and thoroughly enjoyed the stories. Thank you to all the people who have said they will take part.
On Wednesday we noticed some of the Nursery teddy bears had decided to go for a wonder into school.
So we went on a Teddy Bear Hunt.
We chanted the verse “We’re going on a bear hunt. We’re going to catch a big one. Whata beautiful day. We’re not scared!” from the story as we crept through school.
We counted the teddies as we found them as well as saying where they were!
The children tried to use positional language.
We also made either marmalade or honey sandwiches and used bear cutters.
We finished the day off with watching an episode of ‘In the Night Garden’ whilst snuggling under a blanket with our teddies.
Today when we came to nursery we heard some snoring.
We followed the noise and it led to a bear…sleeping.
We knew to speak quietly and not to disturb the bear.
We placed some small teddies near him to make him feel cosier.
Underneath the bear was a story.
It was Peace at Last.
Mrs Ahmad read us the story and we worked out why Mr Bear was so tired.
We had a wonderful time at our Nativity.
We tried our best to sing but we were all a little star struck and even got a bit of stage fright.
We really hope you enjoyed the performance and a really big well done to all the Nursery children.

On Wednesday 22nd of November the Nursery was a very exciting place as Mr Nanoo Nanoo arrived to collect his babies. Mrs Nanoo Nanoo had stayed on planet Zog to make sure everything was ready for the babies’ return.
Mr Nanoo Nanoo had told Nursery it was a long journey and asked if the children would make him some food for the return journey and so the children had baked some buns. Luckily there were enough for the children too and they made theirs in to ‘flying saucers’ using their counting skills to add 5 tiny sweets to represent 5 little men. They enjoyed them for snack.
Some of the children found Mr Nanoo Nanoo a little strange and Mr Nanoo Nanoo found the Nursery a bit strange too! But with some very kind and helpful children he felt confident enough to come in. He even answered their questions. He also took a bit of a shine to Mrs O’Connor! The children were a little worried he wanted to take here back to planet Zog! (she was wearing green!)
